| Happy July 4th! Or almost July 4th.
What're you guys doing for the day?
I'm going to a picnic, and I'm participating in an ROTC Drill and Blade Team contest.

| July 4th 1776 is the day we decided to become independent from Great Britain. We had many people sign The Declaration of Independence, which was a document saying that the king treated us bad and we have come to the conclusion that freedom is worth dying for. | |

| @ Black Chaos:
Woo! Family! Time to celebrate with brothers from other mothers and colors!
@ Fyro:
Ah, Fyro, I can tell you an entire history lesson...I can tell you a tale about sacrifice, freedom, heroes, and adventure! You can learn about the greatness that occurred during the American Revolutionary War, and all the bloodshed that had taken place to bring the heroes of the past!...I can tell you an epic story!.... BUT I'm not!
It's exactly as Kingdom said, lol. Although America declared freedom, they wouldn't get it until after the war itself.
And lol, you're one day ahead of us, of course it's the 4th for you.
@ HanZo:
Blade team is kind of like the drill team, only instead you use swords instead of rifles. I think the swords differ for each program (my program makes us use rapiers and Le Enfields), and teams themselves I think are influenced by the instructors of each program. Some programs have them and some don't, I suppose.
I think I could bring a video for you after the contest, if I could find a video camera....
